QCC Kayaks Deck Hardware -
QCC Kayaks uses only the finest deck hardware and fittings available. This is an area where a lot of builders cut corners - not QCC. Our kayaks have the very best in hardware and fittings that we can find, regardless of cost. This is another advantage of selling direct, we can put more in the boat and less into things that don't float.
 These
1/4" stainless steel U-bolts are made in France by Wichard, a name
familiar to sailing. With a rubber seal boot on the deck and a full
back-up plate beneath they provide real security, whether you're tying it
down on your car or cabling for security you'll appreciate their strength
and beauty.
 Imported
from Sweden our deck fittings are the best we've found yet. They have
more room for lines yet they have a low profile under the deck. They are
easily replaced and removed for refinishing or cleaning. This is just another
of several small things that combine to make our kayaks so exceptional.
Fittings like these are expensive, costing 20 times or more than the
hardware used on most other kayaks, but because we sell direct to you we
don't have to squeeze pennies out of the little things that add up to a
big difference.
All of our shock cord is high-quality 1/4" diameter, not the wimpy
1/8" so many others use. Every boat comes fully equipped with full
shock cord patterns and deck safety lines which are 3/16"
polypropylene. Of course, you also get the cool QCC graphics in beautiful
raised vinyl, not just flat silk-screened decals.
